Mrs. Carol Sue LaFaso, 80 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Lake City Medical Center.  She was born in Dover, New Jersey to the late George and Willamina Schreck Valentine.  Mrs. LaFaso had made her home in Lake City for the past 14 years having previously lived in Hendersonville, NC and Netcong, NJ.  She enjoyed her crafts such and needle point and making afghans.  Mrs. LaFaso was of the Methodist faith and was preceded in death by one son, Gordon Scott Bennett in 1996.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 50 years, Raymond T. LaFaso, Lake City; one son, George Keith Bennett, Charlotte, NC; one daughter, D. Diane Klatte (Jimmy), Eagle, CO; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Jason Klatte, Eagle, CO.

Mrs. LaFaso's ashes will be entombed in Hendersonville, NC at a later date.
