Carol Bush Candler, 76, of Lake City, FL, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at her home following an extended illness. She was born at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas; the daughter of the late Lt. Col. Joseph Bush and Fern Bush. She and her husband Michael were married for 56 years and resided in the Lake City/Live Oak area for 30 years. She worked for many years as the Office Manager for Candler Appraisal Services. Mrs. Carol was a horseback riding enthusiast, who enjoyed riding with trail riding clubs in Madison, FL and Valdosta, GA.

Mrs. Carol is survived by her husband of 56 years, Michael Candler of Lake City, FL; her two sons, Christopher D. Candler (Jennifer) of Lake City, FL and Dr. Jason B. Candler of Crossville, TN; two grandchildren and two sisters.

A memorial service for Mrs. Carol will be conducted on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Community Hospice and the Boy Scouts of America.
