After their marriage ended, Carl married Jean and adopted her two children (Davina and Steven). They later divorced and Carl married Connie the love of his life on April 4th, 1985 and they built a beautiful life together. Connie brought into their union, her four children (Sandra, Susan, Cynthia and Glenn). They lived together in Columbus, Ohio while Carl served with the U.S. Post Office and they relocated to Towanda, Pennsylvania where he retired from the Post Office. They later moved to High Springs, Florida where they have resided for the past 15 years.

Carl was a talented Mechanic and his lifelong hobby was to purchase, re-build/repair and then sell vintage Volkswagen Beetles and VW Things. He would occasionally find a VW Bus or another make/model, which thrilled him to no end. Carl loved to find a good bargain on practically anything. He would visit yard sales, estate sale and auctions and enjoyed bargaining down the selling price. Carl was very proud of his Native American heritage (Mohican).
