CAPTORIA PINKERTON Captoria Pinkerton, 93, passed into the hands of her Lord on January 28, 2006. Born in Ashland, Kentucky on June 4, 1912, Captoria died from heart failure at her daughter's home in Lake City, Florida. Captoria retired from General Motors in Flint, Michigan and moved to Vero Beach, Florida with her husband of 58 years, Grover in 1986. Captoria was a charter member of Faith Baptist Church, Vero Beach, FL where son James the Pastor before his death. Her faith and family were always at the center of her life. Mrs. Pinkerton was preceded in death by her husband Grover W. Pinkerton and her son, James I. Pinkerton. Mrs. Pinkerton is survived by her son Grover Pinkerton and his wife Marjorie of Winter Haven, FL, her daughter Elaine Deese and her husband William of Lake City, FL and a daughter-in-law, Doreen Pinkerton of Vero Beach, FL. Seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Mrs. Pinkerton was buried at Hillcrest Cemetery, U.S. 1 in Ft. Pierce on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 11:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Hospice or Faith Baptist Church in Vero Beach. Arrangements are under the direction of the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 South Highway 441, Lake City, Fl.
