Obituary

Ms. Canova Shaw Brink, 86 passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the North Florida Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Amos and Artie Sapp Shaw. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Brink, her daughter Mary Brink Thomas, three brothers James, Ray, and B.W. Shaw, and one sister Joyce Crews. Ms. Canova had made Lake City her home for the past fifty years after moving here from Live Oak, FL. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and attended Christ Central Ministries, she enjoyed spending time with her family, going for car rides, and weekend trips. Ms. Canova is survived by two sons Matthew Brink (Laurie) Tennessee, and Donald Brink (Sandy) Lake City, FL; two daughters Tanya Stanton, Tennessee, and Barbara Brannon (Hank) Lake City, FL.  She had twelve grandchildren Taren and Lorin Stanton, Kelly Blevins, Jeremy, Tiffany, and Sean Thomas, Chase and Kaylee Brannon, Matt, Meghann, Mark, and Kaitlyn Brink also survive. A service for Ms. Canova will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Christ Central Ministries with Pastor Seth Shaw officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
