Brian Neal Cannon, 62, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2024 at his residence, after a sudden illness. He was born on April 2, 1962 to Rex and Hazel Newcomb Cannon. He has made Lake City his home most of his life and worked in the carpentry field for a number of years. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to NASCAR races, football games and cheering on the Florida Gators. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Rex and Hazel Cannon; and his brothers, Rex Cannon, Jr., Steve Ash and Clint Cannon.

He is survived by his daughters, Brittany Cannon Fortner (Jerry) of Live Oak and Jessica Cannon Selbe (Ben) of Warner Robbins, GA; and his sister, Paula Ash. Three grandchildren along with extended family and friends also survive.

Per Mr. Cannon's wishes, he will be cremated, with services to be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
