Brenda Elaine "Falena" Norris Johnson, 62, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday afternoon, March 28, 2024 at the Haven Hospice – Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City after a brief illness. She was born in Jacksonville on January 24, 1962 to the late Lonnie Norris and Geraldine "Honey" Stripling. She has made Lake City her home most all of her life, but lived with her father, who was in the military and mother in Germany for a short stint before returning to Lake City. She worked for a number of years as a Waitress and Bar Tender and in her spare time, enjoyed Swimming, dancing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family & friends, as well as anything to do with the rivers and springs. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored.

She is survived by her children, David Andrew Johnson and Jessica Johnson both of Lake City; grandchildren, Joe McClure, Reed Barrow and Dani Johnson all of Lake City; and her brothers, Michael Norris of Lake City and Danny Norris of Oregon.

A Celebration of Life service for Falena will be held on Tuesday afternoon, April 2, 2024 at 4:00 P.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 3:00 P.M., prior to the service at the funeral home.
