Brenda K Hurford Sawyer age 74, April 10, 1946 - January 22, 2021

Brenda passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. She was born April 10, 1946 in Canton, Ohio to the late George Hurford and Mary E Hurford.  She grew up in North Canton, Ohio where she attended Hoover high school and graduated. Brenda moved to Lake City from Key Largo in 1995 and became very active in the community.  She worked and volunteered at the VA hospital was choir Director at her church Pleasant Grove and a member of the United Methodist women group.

She is survived by Howard Weant of Lake City; son James South of Lake City; son Eric South of Pueblo, Co; and daughter Davina Stephenson of Southgate, Mi. Also surviving our granddaughter Karolyn Moldovan of Lynchburg Va; Kristin Stephenson of Southgate, Mi; and two great grandsons, Silas and Titus.

Memorial services to honor Brenda will be held at Pleasant Grove Methodist church, Lake City, Fl. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1pm for family and friends with Pastor John Kerry officiating.
