Brenda Gail Humphreys, 62, of Lake City, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 5, 2022, at the HCA Florida – Lake City Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Lake City on April 6, 1960, to Vera Powell McLaughlin and the late Charles G. Clyatt. She lived all of her life in Lake City and attended the Holiness Church when she was younger. She was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker all of her life; loved her children and grandchildren dearly. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Duane Humphreys; her daughter, April Lucibello; her sister and brother-in-law, Rita & Will Bates, her father, Charles G. Clyatt, and her stepfather, Doc Oscar "Buddy" McLaughlin. She is survived by her children, Ann Humphreys Keen (Shane) of Lake City & Shon Humphreys (Patricia) of Tampa; her mother, Vera McLaughlin of Albany, GA. And her brother, Joey Clyatt (Randi) of Albany, GA.; stepmother, Janice Clyatt, of Lake City; sister, Tracy Brannon (Ronnie) of Lake City and brother Bernie Howey (Paloma) of Lake City, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild also survive. A Memorial Graveside Service for Mrs. Humphreys will be conducted at a later date in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
