Brenda Carol Hedges, age 69, of Brandford, Florida passed away peacefully at home with loved ones on December 1, 2023. She was born in Orlando, FL, the oldest of five children. Her and husband made Brandford their home five years ago after retirement in Stuart, FL. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Frank Ziemba, Sr. and Carolyn Pomeroy Ziemba and brother Frank Ziemba Jr. of Shreveport, LA. She grew up in Stuart and loved the beaches. She volunteered at the local elementary school in Branford, FL. reading to the young children.  She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, reading books, feeding the birds, and playing with her beloved dog, Sandy.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 51 years William (Bill) Hedges; her daughters Angela Bowers, husband Tony Bowers of Derry, NH, and Sheila Hedges of High Springs, FL; her sister Ellen Klempert of Stuart, FL; and brothers Matthew Ziemba, of Stuart, FL, and Karol Ziemba of Canada. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Anthony Bowers of Derry, NH, Alexis Bowers of Nashville, TN, and Hagen Luciano of High Springs, FL; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and friends who will cherish her memory.

A private beach celebration of Brenda's life will be held in Stuart, Fl at a later date. Brenda will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial donations be made to Haven Hospice at 6037 W. US Highway 90, Lake City, FL. 32055, 386-752-9191. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
