Brantley "Brant" Stevens, 69, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday evening, July 9, 2023 at the HCA Florida – Lake City Hospital in Lake City. He was born in Lake City on June 15, 1954 to the late Alex Howard Stevens, Sr. and Blondina "Pat" Weatherd Stevens. He has been a life-long resident of Lake City. After graduating from Columbia High School in 1973, he attended Lake City Community College where he received a masonry certificate. Brant was most known for his beautiful stone work through his masonry business and running the locally famous restaurant, The Shellcracker, with his brother Don. He enjoyed spending time with his family at the river and most recently, spending time at his cabin in the mountains of North Carolina.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jerri Stevens of Lake City; son, Brantley Stevens, Jr. (Tami) of Lake City; daughter, Jamie Stevens Foote (Shayne) of Lake City; siblings, A.H. Stevens, Jr. (Carol), Don Stevens (Wendy), Patti Bielling (Reggie) and Lisa Brinkley (Darryl) all of Lake City. Five grandchildren, Grace, Layne & Allie Foote of Lake City and Greyson & Emersyn Stevens also of Lake City; along with a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service for Mr. Stevens will be conducted on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel. A private interment will follow in the Stevens Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the services at the funeral home.
