Brad Barrs, 39, of Lake City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 5, 2025. He was the son of Mike Barrs and the late Suzanna Simmons Barrs. Brad was active in sports in his younger years, and worked in the construction business for most of his adult life. He had his own wood mill, and had a talent for creating beautiful wood furniture out of cedar and various materials. He was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanna, at a young age, who he loved dearly; his maternal grandmother, Carol Simmons; and paternal grandparents, Ray & Louise Barrs.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Darlene Barrs; brothers, Brian (Pam) Barrs of Lake City, Christopher (Sandy) Carmichael of Wellborn and Caleb (Erikah) Carmichael of High Springs; his maternal grandfather, Bobby (Mona) Simmons; uncles, Mark (Kathy) Barrs and Jeff (Nancy) Simmons. Special Cousins, Cody and Chase Barrs; nieces and nephews, Bryson (Kayley) Barrs, Austin Williams, Eden, Axel, Ellie and Abby Carmichael; as well as numerous other extended family members.

A graveside service for Brad will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. in the Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Billy Young officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service.
