Bonnie Lee Franklin, 92, died Monday, March 28, 2011 at North Florida Regional Medical Center. Born in Suwannee County to the late Cecil Mae Boatwright, she had lived in Columbia County for most of her life. She was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She was preceded death by her husband of fifty-six years, J.D. Franklin.

Survivors include her son, Guy C. (Claudia) Walker of Lake City, FL and grandson, Guy C. (Meaghan- Massella) Walker Jr. of Annapolis, MD also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Randy Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held two hours prior to service time.
