Mrs. Bonita "Bonnie" Ann Atwell Eubank, 72 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Solaris Healthcare in Lake City after battling an extended illness.  She was born March 31, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Cecil and Nell Atwell and was a longtime resident of Lake City having previously lived in West Palm Beach, Florida.  Mrs. Eubank had a bachelor's degree in education and served as a substitute teacher in West Palm Beach and Lake City.  She was a loving mother who dedicated her life to her family as a stay at home mother.  Mrs. Eubank loved her friends and was active in many groups such as the Ladies Night Out, Lake City Garden Club and the Friends of the Library Board.  She was preceded in death by one son, Darren Charles Eubank in 1990 and two brothers, Jack Bowen and Richard Atwell.

Survivors include her loving husband of 52 years,  Charles Wickham Eubank, Lake City; one son, Shane Eubank (Alison), Lake City; one daughter, Tassie Eubank Nelson (Steve), Lake City; two grandsons, Darren Eubank and Brant Nelson both of Lake City; three granddaughters, Riley Eubank and Breah Nelson both of Lake City and Lauren Nelson, Crystal River; and one great grandson, Easton Thomas, Crystal River.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with William P. "Bill" Eubank officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Columbia County Public Library at 308 NW Columbia Ave., Lake City, FL 32055.
