Bobby Daniel Scheider, 62 of Lake City, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lake City after a lengthy Illness. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Arthur and Gladys "Thompson" Scheider. He had made Lake City his home since 1995. He served his country faithfully with The United States Army and retired from the Merchant Marines.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved being outdoors, fishing, or hunting, and especially loved spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Arthur Lee Scheider.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Karen Scheider; son, Dylan Scheider and daughter, Rhiannon (Wayne) Reynolds all of Lake City, FL; brothers, Lewis Scheider of Callahan, FL, Walter Scheider of Jacksonville, FL, and J.T. Scheider of Suwannee, FL; sisters, Shirley McIntosh and Jeannette Meeks both of Jacksonville, FL;
grandchildren, Christell, Janyse, & Ayden.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 South U.S. Hwy 441, Lake City, FL, 32025 (386) 752-1954. Fellowship with the family will be one hour prior to service time (10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m.). In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Bobby's honor to the V.A.
