Mr. Billy Keith Thomas, 85, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the HCA Florida Lake City Hospital after an extended illness. He was born February 11, 1939, in Findlay, Ohio to the late Melvin and Nellie Myers Thomas and is preceded in death by three brothers Donald Heminger, Delbert Thomas, and Larry Thomas, and one sister Susan Heminger.  Mr. Thomas made Lake City his home for the past twenty-four years after moving to Lake City from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lake City an avid OHIO STATE BUCKEYE FAN, and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his church family.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife of sixty-two years Lillian Virginia Thomas, Lake City, FL, one son Billy Keith Thomas, Jr. (Kyu Suk) Pennsylvania, two daughters, Barbara McKeon, Lake City, FL, and Becky Clark (Dennis) Acworth, GA. His godson Mark Bonina, four grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Thomas will be conducted on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Reverend Carl Chauncey officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
