Mr. Billy Ralph Baldwin, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the University of Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL following an extended illness. He is the son of the late Shadie I. and Erma Craddock Baldwin. He is preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law Stanley and Mary Baldwin. Billy had made his home in Lake City since 1960 after moving here from Logan, West Virginia. He was of the Baptist faith; he served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked many years at PCS on the pipeline. Billy enjoyed spending time with his family, raising chickens, and growing a garden (especially peppers).

He is survived by his wife of 58 years of marriage, Charlotte Baldwin, his two daughters, Misty Baldwin, Stacey Ste-Marie (Carl), all of Lake City, FL., one brother, Robert Baldwin (Norene), Lake, West Virginia.  One sister, Betty Pridemore, Chapmanville, West Virginia, his four grandchildren, Darian Goss, Dallas Paige, Brittany Lewis, and Erica Kendall. Seven great-grandchildren, Charlye Demps, Bristol Rouse, Randy Lewis, Harley Lewis, Benjamin Rouse, Emma Goss and Baylor Paige, and his six sisters in laws, Delena Widener, Annette Spradley, Alice Kinsey, Cindy Carter,, Evelyn Thomas and Peggy Carter.

Graveside services for Mr. Billy Ralph Baldwin were conducted on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 3:00 PM Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City, FL with Pastor Fariel Kennington officiating.  Interment will immediately follow graveside service.   Arrangements are under the direction of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S US Hwy 441, Lake City, FL 32025.  Please leave words of comfort for the family at www.gatewayforestlawn.com.
