Billie Ann Sova, 86, of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Willow Creek Assisted Living Facility in Lake City, after a brief illness. She was born and raised in Lake City and was the daughter of the late William T. Jackson and Leta Annette Keen Jackson. She was a member of the First Advent Christian Church here in Lake City; and worked for a little over 20 years with the Federal Government. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, working in her yard, tending to her flowers and walking. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Sova; grandson, William Thomas; niece, Jodi Jackson Wood; brother, Sam K. "Ken" Jackson; and her son-in-law, Ronald "Ronnie" Thompson.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Robbie Thompson of Lake City; sisters, Francis Arlene Akerman of Jacksonville and Rhetta Mayfield of Arkansas; two grandchildren, Patricia Hendricks and Timmy Thomas (Alexis) both of Lake City; and two great-grandchildren, Bailey Leann Hendricks and Addilyn Thomas both of Lake City.

A funeral service for Mrs. Sova will be conducted on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Fred O. Gaylard, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M., prior to the service at the funeral home.
