Betty Ruth Walker, 76, of Olustee, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Russellville, Alabama on March 8, 1945 to the late Jessie Lee Thomas and Ruth Elizabeth Montgomery Thomas. She has made Olustee her home most of her life and was a Homemaker all of her life. She was a member of the Olustee Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery, cooking and gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Christopher James Ratliff; great-granddaughter, Aubry Elaine Tillman; and her brothers, Marty Arnold Thomas and Johnny Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Glenn Ray Tillman, Jr. (Yvette) of Queen Creek, AZ; daughters, Sue Denise Aldridge of Lake City, Ruth Elizabeth Thornton (John) of Lake City and Deborah Kay Brown (George) of Olustee. Eight grandchildren, Rachel, David, Amber, Shelby, Taylor, Heather, Thomas and Hannah; and nine great-grandchildren, Hailey, Kinsley, Kyra, Kaylynn, Maci, Caleb, Kayden, Casey and Kynsley also survive.

A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Walker will be conducted on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the Olustee Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Tyre officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
