Betty Jane Bagley Joyner, 91 of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at the Ormond Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ormond Beach.  She was born in Providence, Florida, the oldest of five children to the late Clarence Bagley and Eunice Williams Bagley.  Mrs. Joyner was a graduate of Fort White High School class of 1952.  She had made her home in Ormond Beach since 1969.  Mrs Joyner was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Palm Coast Ward.  She worked for over 30 years with JK Shira and Sons in Ormond Beach.  She was an exceptional seamstress and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.  Mrs. Joyner also loved traveling, especially to the Smoky Mountains.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 39 years, Wallace D. Joyner; one daughter, Valerie Lyndean VanHorn; and three siblings, Louis Bagley, Roy Bagley and Patsy Bagley Summers.

Survivors include her children, Dexter "Butch" Joyner (Kim), Port Orange, Cathy Ireland (John), Ormond Beach, Kirk Joyner, Daytona Beach and Troy Joyner, Daytona Beach; one sister, Geri Roberts (Jim), Branford; son-in-law, Joe VanHorn, Branford; two sisters-in-law, Betty Bagley, Haines City and Margaret Bagley, Branford; six grandchildren, Cameron, Aaron, Ryan, Valarie, Cheryl and Robbyn; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyner will be conducted on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Lake Butler Ward in Lake Butler, Florida.  Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Union County.  A time of visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
