Betty Jean Hansen, 83, of Lake City, passed away on Monday evening, December 11, 2023 at the HCA Florida – Lake City Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born in Wellborn, Florida on December 23, 1939 to the late Glenn Cheshire and Bertha Green Cheshire. She worked for over 30 years in sales with the Sears & Roebuck Company and was a member of the Watertown Congregational Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her puppy's and other animals, thrifting and collecting things; and in her younger years, she enjoyed quilting with her mother. She is preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Russell Hansen.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Roberts (Jenee) of Bell, FL, Glenn Roberts of Lake City and Tim Roberts (Wendy) of McAlpin, FL; and brother, Russell Cheshire (Joyce) of Lake City. Eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.

Per Mrs. Hansen's wishes, no services will be scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME.
