Betty Jean Grant, 86, of Loganville, GA, formerly of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021 after an extended illness. She was born in Ashland, KY on February 10, 1935 to the late Eugene Rye and Nellie Hanners Rye. She has lived in Loganville since 2013, moving there from Lake City, which she made her home since the early 1970s. She was a homemaker and in her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching. She is preceded in death by her husband, James C. Grant, Sr. and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, James C. Grant, Jr. (Sharon) of White Springs and Crystal Kincaid (Hal) of Loganville, GA. Eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren also survive.

A graveside funeral service for Mrs. Grant will be conducted on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Interment will follow.
