Mrs. Betsy L. Meredith, 53, passed away on Sunday July 12, 2026 at HCA Hospital in Gainesville following a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Lake City, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Betty Floyd Gunn and was a 1992 Columbia High School graduate. Betsy loved her cats, riding her bike, going on walks and cooking.
Betsy is survived by her husband Rodney Meredith; two brothers, Ben Gunn and Lonnie Gunn (Kimberly)
Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 17, 2026 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tim Dunavant officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation with the family will be held at the funeral home on hour before services (2:00-3:00 P.M.)
