Mrs. Beatrice Ernestine "Ernie" McCray, 82, of Fort White passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Lake City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. McCray was an active member of the Fort White Church of God for 51 years. She loved & enjoyed her role as a pastor's wife. She enjoyed reading, baking, shopping & going on cruises. She was known for her rum cakes & banana puddings.

Mrs. McCray was the daughter of the late Ernest F. Harrington and late Beatrice Harvey Harrington. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Reverend Fred McCray (Fort White Church of God); one daughter, Teresa McCray; and one brother Dale Harrington.

Survivors include two sons, Harry F. McCray Jr., of Raiford and Wilson H. McCray of Lake City; brother, Ralph Harrington of Lake City and one grandson, Kevin McCray of Lake City, FL.

A graveside funeral services for Mrs. McCray will be conducted on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11:00am, at the Alton Church of God Cemetery, Mayo with Reverend Danny Wood officiating.  Visitation with the family will be prior to the service at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel between 9:30-10:00am prior to departure from the funeral home en-route to the Alton Cemetery at 10:00am.
