Barbara Ann Townsend, 67 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.  She was born in Clearwater, Florida to the late Albert Douglas and Mary Dermarest Douglas.  Ms Townsend had made Lake City for the past 15 years and had previously lived in High Springs and Texas.  She loved church, God and her family.  Her favorite color was green.  Ms Townsend loved going to the beach and looking for seashells.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Townsend, Jr; and her daughter, Ada Morrell.

Survivors include her grandchildren, James Avery (Whitney), Lake City and Tracy Townsend, Branford; her son, Frank Townsend, III, Lake Butler; her son-in-law, Darrell Morrell, Lake City; her siblings, Rose Dermarest, Gloria McLain and Leland Dermarest; great-grandchildren, Logan Eli-Reid Avery and Emma Grace.
