Barbara Betty Petrena, 75, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 25, 2011, after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Pearl Toler Bennett. She was born in Inkster, Michigan, but had lived in Lake City since 2001, having moved here from Hatchbend, Florida. She was a caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother who found great comfort through her faith and tremendous joy through spending time with her family.

She was a loving mother to her sons, Wayne and David Petrena of Lake City, FL, Donald Petrena of Live Oak, FL and Warren Petrena of Tallahassee, FL; beloved sister of Leta Smith (Larry) of Leesburg, FL; beloved grandmother to Eric (Lori), Brian (Carla), Mimosa, Violet; beloved great grandmother to Madison; a loving aunt to Kerri Clark (Andy) and Lori Feldman; and beloved great aunt to Sarah and Jacob Feldman.

A private family memorial for Barbara was held at the Haven Hospice Chapel on Tuesday, December 27, 2011.
