Barbara Joan Davis Rose, 92 of Lake City, was born on August 1, 1933 in Sarasota, Florida and passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025 at her home.  She was preceded in death by her parents, A. Nevesta Rigby, mother, and John W. Davis, Jr., father, who was killed at the Battle of the Bulge during WWII and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery in Epinal Vosges, France.  Her father was a recipient of the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.  Mrs. Rose was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Edwin A. Rose, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Katharine Hardee and Richard Rose; three grandchildren, Teresa Pierce, Heath Hardee and Hunter Rose; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren all of Lake City.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Rose will be conducted on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Elmer Crews officiating.  Interment will follow.
