Obituary

Ashia La’Shai Moore, 16, of Lake City, passed away tragically on Wednesday afternoon, September 9, 2026. She was born in Orange Park, Florida on October 15, 2009 and has made Lake City her home all of her life. She was a member of the Graduating Class of 2028 and was currently employed with Wendy’s on Main Street as a Cashier. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, making Tik Tok videos, swimming, going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends. She was beyond excited to be a mother and meet her baby boy. Ashia was prepared and counting down the days until she was able to hold her precious Jaxson.She was also attending the Abundant Life Church here in Lake City. She is preceded in death by her Maternal Great-Grandparents, Marcella B. Smith & W.M. Smith; Paternal Great-Grandparents, Annie Moore and Manson Moore; and her Maternal Step-Great-Grandfather, Grover “Buddy” Cheshire. She is also preceded in death by her loving little boy, Jaxson Lamier Moore.

She is survived by her mother, Krystal Campbell of Lake City; father, Aundris Moore, Sr. of Baker County; brother, Aundris Moore, Jr. of Lake City and her sister, Asianna Moore of Lake City. She is also survived by her Maternal Memaw, Rhonda Cheshire of Fort White and her Maternal Grandfather, Robert Campbell of Louisiana; and her Maternal Grandmother, Sheron Taylor of Lake City. Many extended family members and friends also survive.

A funeral service for Ashia will be conducted on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Cagney Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday evening, September 18, 2026 at the funeral home.
