Angela Ruth "Angie" Rye, 69 of Lake City, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 8, 2025 with her family at her side.  She was born in Sherman, Texas, the oldest of three children, to the late Steve and Barbara Ann Mace Denmark.  Ms Rye was a lifelong resident of Lake City and a graduate of Columbia High School class of 1973.  She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed her prayer and coffee time each day.  Ms Rye loved to spend time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren playing board games and watching scary movies.  Angie also enjoyed picking her guitar, listening to music and playing her old records.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Stephen Denmark; and her husband's and fathers of her children, Dwight Tyre and Jack Rye.

Survivors include her three children, Dwight "D.J." Tyre, Jr., Tabitha Tyre and Candace Rye all of Lake City; one brother, Keith Denmark (Cindy), Lake City; nephew, Stephen Denmark, Jr., Ft.Myers; sister and brother in law, Connie and Woody Christie, Lake City; her childhood best friend, Beth Powell, Lake City; 8 grandchildren, Ashley Albury, Dwight "Trey" Tyre, III, Dalton Tyre, Darian Tyre, Stephanie Gaskill, Sydnei Tyre, Trevyn Rye and Maximus Tyre; 1 great-grandchild, Kora Tyre; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside funeral services for Ms Rye will be conducted on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Memorial Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be prior to the service on Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
