Mrs. Alice Louise Rice, 60, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Lake City Medical Center after an extended illness. She was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky on June 20, 1958 to the late Alvin White and Gloria Fleming. She has made Lake City her home since 1975, and was a Daycare Teacher with Happy Hearts here in Lake City for over 15 years. She enjoyed going out to eat with her family and being around them every chance she had. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years; Robert A. Rice of Lake City; daughters; Tanya Rice-Decker (Rick), Jacqueline Watson (John) and Cheryl Crary (Jack) all of Lake City; seven grandchildren along with numerous family members and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rice will be conducted on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Ben Kurz officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening, November 9, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be considered to a charity of your choice.
