Albert J. "Al" Waters, Jr., 61 of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at his home in Lake City.  Al was born and raised in Lake City to the late Albert J. Waters, Sr. and Vivian Lucille Shaw Waters.  He was a lifelong resident of Lake City, a graduate of Columbia High School class of 1977 and played football for Columbia High School.  Al was an avid Florida Gator fan, he loved racing and promoting his father's track, Lake City Motor Speedway.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his daughter, Brittney Waters, Lake City; two sisters, Shirley Rogers (Mike) and Kathy Westover both of Lake City; three grandchildren, Kyla Cameron, Jeremy Cameron, Jr. and Kirk Albert Cameron all of Lake City; and his former wife and mother of his daughter, Michelle Petry-Shaw (Charles), Lake City.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jeff Thomas officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  A visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
