Yogesh Chand, MD

Yogesh Chand, MD, 68 of Bluefield, VA and Lake City, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, while celebrating his 41st wedding anniversary on a cruise to the Cayman Islands with his wife, Rekha Yogesh Chand.  Dr. Chand was an orthopedic surgeon and was currently practicing at the Bluefield Orthopedics PC in Bluefield, VA which he has owned since 1983.  His plans were to retire to Lake City, Florida in the coming year with his wife.  Dr. Chand was a member of the Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Church in Green Valley, WV and attended the High Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church in High Springs, FL while staying in Lake City.  He was preceded in death by his father, Parbhubhai.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Rekha Yogesh Chand, Lake City; his mother, Tapiben Bhagabhai, Lake City; two sons, Ketan Yogesh Chand (Wendy Reighard), Spring Lake, NC and Ravin Yogesh Chand, Santa Monica, CA; one step brother, Jaswantbhai; and one grandson, Ethan Ketan Chand, Christiansburg, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:30 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Karl Leukert of the High Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 1:30-2:30 PM in the Chapel.
