William Buddy "Billy" Brown

William Buddy “Billy” Brown, 66 of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville.  He was born in Williston, Florida and was a longtime resident of Lake City, Jacksonville and Green Cove Springs, FL.  Mr. Brown loved fishing, building bird houses and gardening.  He was also an avid Florida Gator and Jacksonville Jaguars football fan.  Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his father, Epstine H. “Buddy” Brown, and three siblings, Randy Brown, Baby Girl Brown and Guy Brown.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Brown, Lake City; one son, Ronnie Brown, Jonesboro, AR; one daughter, Laura Hill (Scott), Atlanta, GA; two brothers, David Brown (Renee), Brunswick, GA and Steve Brown (Daun), Green Cove Springs; four sisters, Mary Jane Altman (Paul), Middleburg, Linda Davis (James), Lake Butler, Brenda Rodgers (Carl), Statenville, GA and Sherry Burlingame (Wade), Lake City; five grandchildren, Shay, Brad and Emily Brown, Jonesboro, AR and Ace and Miley Kay Hill, Atlanta, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great nephews also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 a 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Mike Tatem, officiating.  Interment will follow.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM, at the cemetery.  Flowers may be sent to Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Lake City, for the services.  Arrangements are under the direction of HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERMEAD FUNERAL HOME, Orange Park.
