October 24, 1947 ~ February 17, 2019 (age 71)

Selmer Faye Womeldorf, 71, of Lake City, was born in Jacksonville, Georgia on October 24, 1947. She went home to be with our Lord on February 17, 2019. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 52 years Charles Owen Womeldorf, Jr.; three daughters, Andrea Womeldorf, Michelle Elder and Anna Jones; eight grandchildren, Brandi Skinner and her husband Jared, Devin Latchman and his fiancé My-Shyellea Fleming, Britney Elder, Dakota Jones, Corey Jones, Madison Wagner and Mason Wagner; and one great grandson Jayse Rathel; 5 brothers and sisters, Homer D. Briley, Bonnie Peterson, Patricia McArthur, Cindy Kensrue and James Briley; Adopted siblings, Gail Acree, Roy Parks and Ricky Mott.

Faye’s employment career included BCBS of Florida, Humana, Shands Homecare, Hanger Prosthetics and the State of Florida. She routinely volunteered at Highlands Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, Fl and the Christian Service Center, she was also an advocate for Hospice. She was loved and she will be missed!

Services will be conducted on Friday, February 22,2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. (one hour prior to the services) at the Funeral Home with a short grave site ceremony to follow.
