Roland K. Albury, 83 of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at his home. He was born in Nassau, Bahamas to the late Kirkwood and Anna Key Albury. Mr. Albury had made his home in Lake City since 1974 having moved and transferred here, working for Owens Illinois, from Andros Island, Bahamas. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of Epiphany Catholic Church. Mr Albury served for over 20 years with the Merchant Marine and retired as a Captain.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lourdes Albury, Lake City; one son, Roland Albury Jr. (Sharmiara), Lake City; one daughter, Ana Zamudio (Carlos), Oviedo, FL; three grandchildren, Ana Christina Zamudio, Ft. Lauderdale, Gabriela Zamudio, Barcelona, Spain and Adriana Zamudio, Oviedo, FL; two nephews, Jorge Macia (Monica), Atlanta, GA and Tony Macia (Susan), Little Rock, AR; and his niece, Dulce Macia, Oviedo, FL
A funeral mass will be conducted on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Epiphany Catholic Church with Father Rob Trujillo officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A rosary will be held just prior to the mass at Epiphany starting at 11:00 AM at Epiphany Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Epiphany Catholic School at 1905 Epiphany Ct., Lake City, FL 32025.
