Richard Jack Shepard

Richard Jack Shepard, age 69 of Lake City, Florida died Thursday , April 20, 2017 at home among several family member, from complications of brain cancer.  Richard was born in Jacksonville Florida and moved to Lake City, Florida in June of 1973 with the family manufacturing business. 

He is survived by his wife Carol Shanklin Shepard, father Jack Shepard of Lake city, Florida.  Brother Roger Steven (Eva)Shepard Lake City, Florida, sister Pamela Diane Shepard, Houston Texas, Sister, Debra Lynn(Robert) Ferreira, Roy Utah, children Richard Jack (Lynn) Shepard II Valdosta Ga., Thaddous Shepard, Lake City, Florida, Alan Shepard, Hasting, Florida, Shelby (Bianca) Shepard, Yulee, Florida.  Preceeded in death by his mother Kathryn Geleeta Shepard, and daughter Gwendelyn Stacy Shepard.

Richard proudly served his country  in Vietnam in the US Army serving  as Crew Chief on a Medical Rescue helicopter, which was shot down with a hard landing from a sniper shot.
