Raymond Thomas Snelgrove, Jr.

Raymond Thomas Snelgrove, Jr, age 50, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2019 surrounded by family at Shands Hospital in Gainesville Fl.  He was born December 18, 1968 in Lake City, Fl to Raymond Thomas Snelgrove, Sr and Melodie Snelgrove Huneycutt. He was proceeded in death by both parents.  He was a graduate of Columbia High School in Lake City.  He married Shelly Bass and had three children; step-daughter Brittney (John) Talmadge, Dillion (Shannon) Snelgrove and Wyatt (Savannah) Snelgrove.  He adored his children more than anything in this world. 

Tommy was the happiest when he was on the water fishing, in the woods hunting with his buddies Bo, Kevin and Dale, or out searching for Arrowheads or rock formations.  Another passion of Tommy’s was cooking. If you ever went to his house, he was excited to bring you some ribs or the latest cake he baked.

He is survived by his wife Shelly, children; Brittney, Dillon and Wyatt, granddaughter Caylieh Marie Snelgrove, grandson Jack Talmadge, two sisters, Shelby (John) Glenn, Shellayne (Reco) Snelgrove, nephews: Daniel, Josh, Zachary, and KeShawn, Niece; Kelli, step-father Ed Huneycutt of Norwood, NC, a host of cousins and many Aunts and Uncles that he loved with all his heart. 

A private service will be held for family and close friends on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 1pm.  For details you may contact Debbie Snelgrove or the boys.
