Mr. Raymond LeRoy Ferber, 83, of White Springs, passed away peacefully at the Lake City Veterans Administration Hospice Unit in Lake City on February 11, 2018 after an extended illness. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 21, 1934 to the late Karl and Elnora Simmons Ferber. He has made the White Springs area his home for the past 25 plus years, moving here from Staten Island, NY. He was the owner and operator of Raymond Ferber Construction for many years and enjoyed working in his yard and doing carpentry work in his spare time. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a United States Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and his sister; Betty Ferber.
He is survived by his three daughters; Lynda Burnett of Florida, Susan Demler (John) of Lake City, Florida and Kathleen Muoio of Pennsylvania; brothers; Robert Davenport (Trish) of Florida and James Ferber (Annette) of New York; sister; Sissy Ferber of Arizona. Ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren along with many extended family members and friends also survive.
Graveside services for Mr. Ferber will be conducted on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Tyre officiating. Military honors and interment will follow.
