Patricia "Patsy" A. Cason (Lamb) Roberts

Patricia Ann Lamb Cason "Patsy" Roberts, 72, of Lake City, went to be with the Lord

unexpectedly following post-surgical complications on Monday, October 1, 2018, at

North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. Patsy, affectionately known by her grandchildren and many others as “Mamu”, was born May 12, 1946 in Decatur, TN to the late Jesse and Velma (Davis) Lamb. She was a long-time member of Hopeful Baptist Church. She was dedicated to supporting Hopeful East Mission and had a close relationship with her Sunday School class. Since retiring from Bellsouth, she was passionate about all activities surrounding her siblings, children and grandchildren including cooking (eating), sporting events, fishing, and music. She spent a great deal of her life joyfully serving anyone in need.

 Patsy is survived by her husband of 22 years, Mike Roberts, son Paul Anthony “Tony” Cason (Jean), daughter Dr. Lorrie Cason Wheeler (Brad), daughter Paula Cason Griffin (Bryan), grandchildren Holly Wheeler Cowen (Charlie), Haley Wheeler, BJ Wheeler, Hanna Wheeler, and Cason Griffin; brother Jesse “J.E.” Lamb (Donna), sister Darlene Smith (James), sister Susan Sparks (Jimmy), all of Lake City, and sister Chriss Demoss (Bob) of Live Oak. Many step-children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, in-laws, extended family, and close friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 31 years, Paul Donley Cason, and brother, Harold “Dean” Lamb of Ohio.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Hopeful Baptist Church with Rev. Zeb Cook and Dr. Rodney Baker officiating. Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM in the Family Life Center at Hopeful Baptist Church. Interment will follow the services at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Fort White. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hopeful East Mission at 289 SE Hopeful Dr., Lake City, FL 32025 or to the Pregnancy Care Center at 130 NW Hilton Ave., Lake City, FL 32055.
