Linda Joyce Hart

Mrs. Linda Joyce Hart, 76, of Lake City, passed away peacefully at the North Florida Regional Medical Center Saturday, August 26, 2017, after an extended illness. She was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on October 21, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Vincent Mirabello and May S. Crona Mirabello. She has made the Lake City area her home since 1981, moving here from Hollywood, Florida. She was an accounting manager for many years and was a member of the Spirit of Christ Lutheran Church in Lake City, in which she was very active, from serving currently on the Church Board and in the past serving as the church treasurer. She loved the Boston Red Sox and the City of Boston. She loved her family and her four grandchildren, to which she was known affectionately as “Nanny”. Linda enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, family, friends and worship. She is preceded in death by her four brothers; William Edward Faughnan, Sr., James Cannon Faughnan, Richard Cobb Faughnan, who was a member of the Flying Wallendas, and Victor Robert Faughnan.

She is survived by her loving Husband of 50 years; Leo Gene Hart of Lake City; daughter; Melinda Gene Hart (Kevin Keith) of Gainesville; son; David Patrick Hart (Dallas) of Lake City. Four grandchildren: John David Sowers, Dawson Patrick Hart, Dylan Landon Hart and Dalton Emerson Hart along with extended family members and friends also survive.

Memorial services for Mrs. Hart will be conducted on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. in the Spirit of Christ Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making donations to the Spirit of Christ Lutheran Church, 145 SW Sweetbreeze Dr., Lake City Florida.
