Laura Ashley O'Neal

Laura “Ashley” O’Neal, 33 of Lake City passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Lake City Medical Center.  She was born in Lake City May 2, 1984 to Timothy Blackwell and Lori Williams Blackwell.  She has been a lifelong resident of Lake City and was a Columbia High graduate.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she was baptized at eight years old.  Ashley was a licensed cosmetologist, and enjoyed nail art and nail work, she had just began pursuing her degree in counseling.  In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the beach and taking walks on the beach and being a loving mother to her two children.  She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandmother; JoAnn Williams and her Great-Grandparents; Cora & Cozzie Albritton and L.W. & Ethel Williams

She is survived by her loving children; Micah Elisha Blackwell and Laci Marie O’Neal both of Lake City; Her parents; Timothy Blackwell (Cindy) of Lake City and Lori Sanchez (Jorge) of Lake City;  Paternal Grandmother; Faye Cannon Blackwell of Fayette, AL, Paternal Grandfather; Vollie Blackwell, Maternal Grandfather; L.L. (Buck) Williams of Lake City; Brothers Timothy “T.J.” Blackwell (Shannon) of Panama City, Codey Blackwell, Corey Sistrunk (Kelly) both of Lake City, Xavier Sanchez of Lake City; Sister Christina Hughes of St. Petersburg.  Uncle Derrick Williams (Leslie); Cousins; Matthew and Shelby McCalvin of Lake City; Her companion, Justin Parker, lifelong friend Julie Simmons, along with many extended family members and friends also survive.

 Funeral services for Ashley will be conducted on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, March 2, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
