James Tillery Hunter, 55 of High Springs, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at the Haven Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City. He was born and raised in Lake City and had worked for the past 17 years with RTI Surgical in Alachua. Mr. Hunter was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife of 21 ½ years, Dawn Hunter, High Springs; his parents, Ronald T. Hunter and Carolyn Gentry Hunter, Lake City; his three daughters, Kelly Hunter, Lake City, Stephanie Swindell, Gainesville and Dallas Hunter, High Springs; one brother, Steve Hunter, Lake City; and one sister, Tammy NesSmith, Lake City.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
