Evelyn Jean Hathaway, 70 of Lake City, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center. She was a daughter to the late Carl and Ruby Kestner Brewster. Mrs. Hathaway was a longtime resident of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and had recently relocated to Lake City due to health reasons. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed line dancing, sewing, photography, golfing and gardening. Mrs. Hathaway was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Mr. George Simeon Hathaway, in 2012, one grandson, Hunter Bailey and one sister, Louise Honaker.
Survivors include her three children, Debra Millerschultz (Jim), Rogers, AR, Dr. Patricia Lynn Bailey (Rusty), Lake City and George Andrew Hathaway, Hot Springs Village, AR; one sister, Nonia McQuay, Kissimmee, FL; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Woody (Grant), Joplin, MO, Jeff Tanner, Anchorage, AK, Seth, Grant, Ian and Aaron Millerschultz all of Rogers, AR, Remington and Tara Bailey, Lake City and Brittany Woods, Montgomery, IL and Kendyl Hathaway, Yorkville, IL; five great-grandchildren, Miles and Porter Woody, Joplin, MO, Roland and Piper Tanner, Anchorage, AK and Gavin Hathaway, Yorkville, IL.
Per Mrs. Hathaway’s wishes, her ashes will be spread at the family home in Hot Springs Village, AR, with her husband George.
