I remember as a child my aunt used to scare me. I think it was just the tone in her voice. But, as the years went past I learned that that was just her voice and the way she talked. She really was a kind person. But, she could be tough at times for sure. I remember as a kid all the trips that her and my uncle George and my cousins Debbie, Trish and George Andrew would make to Florida to come see my mom and us. It was always nice to see all of them over the years we all have grown up and gone seperate ways doing our own lives.
I can remeber one trip my daddy and I took to Arkansas I stayed with my Aunt and Uncle and he went and stayed with his family not too far away. Well, Evelyn asked me one night if I wanted to play a board game. "Yes, of course i will" so she said i have this new one hang man. "Okay, let's play" me being the teenager that I was let her go first. Well, unbeknownst to my Aunt i could see her picture with the answer. See she had sat with her back up against the window and i could see the reflection of her hang man in the glass so i kept winning the game. It was blowing her mind how i would know all the words she kept writing. I finally had to tell her what was going on.
And what's so funny to me is that a couple of weeks agao my mom went up to my cousin Trisha's home to help take care of my Aunt for a couple of days and when my mom let me talk to her on the phone she laughed and still called me a cheater. She also had taught me in that trip how to line dance.
I will miss her. But, i know she is in a lot better place. R.I.P. Evelyn ❤

Dear Deb and Jim,

So sorry to read about your mom's passing. I know we can never be prepared for this moment, but I do know she was so loved by her family and has passed on to a better place. Praying for peace to comfort you in the months to come. Every time a song comes to you she used to love, just know she is saying hi.
