Emma Marie Curry French

Emma Marie Curry French, 95, of Lake City, Fl., passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at North Florida Regional Hospital.

Born on September 20, 1921, in Bonifay, Fl., to the late George William “G.W.” Curry and late Elizabeth Scott. Mrs. French moved to Lake City, Fl., in 1979 from Bonifay, FL. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her grandchildren, and providing for her family. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Lake City. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Theron M. French Sr.

Survivors include her son; Theron “Tim” French, Jr. of Lake City, Fl, daughters; Faye Boris, of Lake City, Fl., Kay Peters (James) of Bonifay, Fl., Marilyn French LaRoche, Kathy French Johns (Doug), both of Lake City, Fl., sister; Sue Curry Strickland (Billy), of Lake City, Fl., 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, her son in law Dennis LaRoche and numerus nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017from 5:00pm-6:00pm at GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral service for Mrs. French will be conducted at 2:00pm (CST) on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Winterville Assembly of God, 1897 Highway177A, Bonifay, FL 32425, with Pastor Mitch Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Winterville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held at the church one hour prior (1:00pm-2:00pm CST) to the service at the church.
