David Isaiah Brown

David Isaiah Brown, 22, of Ft. White, passed away peacefully on Friday Morning, September 29, 2017, surrounded by his family at his residence following a lengthy illness of cystic fibrosis. He was born in Winter Park, FL on September 1, 1995 to Chris and Shelley Brown. He has made Ft. White his home since 2004, and was an Honors Graduate of the 2014 Class at Ft. White High School. He loved to go to the beach, fish, riding four wheelers and swimming. He also loved having his friends over and was an avid video gamer. He was known for his quick wittedness and was one to never be upset, and always laid back. He always wanted to be a chef, and loved to help cook. David was of the Baptist faith and was a member of The Cross Church. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; Richard Ekerberg; his paternal grandmother; Beverly Arsenault; step-paternal grandmother; Kitty Brown; step-maternal grandfather; John Gedrose and step-paternal grandfather; Bob Arsenault.

 

He is survived by his father and mother; Chris and Shelley Brown of Ft. White; brothers; Richard Brown of Ft. White and Keith Carlton of Orlando; sisters; Jessica Bokuniewicz (Adam) of Fruitland Park and Allison Crisp (Toby) of Branford; maternal grandmother; Barbara Gedrose of Ft. White and paternal grandfather; Richard Brown of Orlando; nieces and nephews; Mckinley Brown, Paison Crisp, Drake and Wade Bokuniewicz along with many extended family members and friends also survive.

 

Funeral services for David will be conducted on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in The Cross Church in Ellisville with Rev. Kenneth Edenfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Ft. White Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be considered to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Jacksonville, 8382 Baymeadows Rd, Suite 9, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 S. US HWY 441, Lake City, FL, 32025. Please leave words of comfort for the family at www.gatewayforestlawn.com. The family also requests that in David’s memory, that you please wear flip-flops, like he always wore, to his funeral service.
