Daniel Wyles Cason, 78 of Fort White, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at his home in Fort White. He was a lifelong resident of Fort White and a son to the late Carl Columbus Cason and Wilma Douglas Cason. Mr. Cason was of the Baptist faith and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a family man and loved spending time with his family and his church family. Mr. Cason enjoyed deer hunting and fox hunting running dogs.
Survivors include his wife of 58 ½ years, Becki Cason; his son, James “Jimmy” Cason (Becky Roberts); his daughter, April Cason all of Fort White; two sisters, Dot Raymos and Kate Alexander (Bert) both of Lake City; four grandchildren, Kassy Hodge, Fort White, Jennifer Cason Sarne (Jason), Dade City, McKenna Nettles, Fort White and Justin Nettles (Katie), Steinhatchee; five great-grandchildren, Madeline and Nicholas Sarne both of Dade City, Lila Bailey, Fort White and Laylen and Baila Nettles both of Steinhatchee; sister-in-law, Mary Edwards, Orlando; nephew, Herb Edwards, Orlando.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church in Fort White with Pastor Earl Tuten officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10-10:45 AM at the church Saturday prior to the service.
