Charles H. Lehman; Of Lake City, FL was born on September 9th 1946 in Liberty, NY as the only child of Gertrude R. And Charles Lehman and passed away of natural causes on January 31, 2019 at the age of 72 years. Charlie was an active member of the American Legion Post 057 of Lake City, FL and a member of their Honor Guard. He attended Miami Dade Jr. College for two years and served his country as a member of the Coast Guard for 7 years with a tour in Vietnam for 9months and 23 days intercepting junkets carrying ammunition and supply's to the enemy on the Mekong delta.
Upon leaving the service he became a licensed Private Detective and was later forced to retire due to illness. He was proceeded in death by both his Mother and Father and is survived by two sons, Joel Lehman of Hallendale, Florida, Jared Lehman of Port-smith, NH and a Daughter Marissa McNeil of Gainesville, Florida. Charlie was well known and loved by many with a brilliant smile and a magnetic personality and will be missed by all.
Funeral services for Charles will be conducted on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction and care of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3596 S. US HWY 441, Lake City, FL, 32025.
