Carmen Milagros Kardish, 60 of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at the Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City. She was born in Dorado, Puerto Rico and had made her home in Lake City since 2016 having previously lived throughout the United States including Clermont, Florida. Carmen worked many years as a Customer Service Representative but her true passion was spending time with her family and being a mother and wife. She enjoyed fishing, going to the beach and being outdoors. Mrs. Kardish was of the Catholic faith and was currently a member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Lake City. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rosenda Capeles Moldanado, one brother, Ramon “Papo” Colon and one sister, Gloria Colon.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, David Eric Kardish, Lake City; her father, Ramon Colon Rivera, Carolina, Puerto Rico; one daughter, Sol Maria Rivera Colon (David Hayes), West Palm Beach, FL; one son, Patrick Ramon Kardish (Abigail Picard), Lake City; two sisters, Judy Ley, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico and Sol Colon, Carolina, Puerto Rico; and four grandchildren, Braddock Hayes, Bronson Hayes and twins, Catalina and Cora Hayes.
A memorial service honoring the life of Carmen will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Epiphany Catholic Church with Father Rob Trujillo, officiating. Inurnment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
