Betty Louise Back, 74, of Lake City, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 17, 2018 at the Haven Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness. She was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia on September 5, 1943 to the late Robert Foreman and Pauline Grogaard Foreman. She has made Lake City her home since 2006, moving here from Baltimore, Maryland. She was a homemaker all of her life; and in her spare time, enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, being crafty and looking at facebook. She was a very caring and giving person; who always put others needs before her own. She was preceded in death by her companion of 30 years; Richard Bradfield.
She is survived by her loving daughters; Evelyn Kirkman (Michael) of Lake City, Sandra Wolfe (Michael) of Lake City and Barbara Weddle of Baltimore, Maryland; brother; Ward Foreman (Sissy) of Pennsylvania; sister; Doris Campbell MacDonald of Baltimore, Maryland; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services for Mrs. Back will be conducted on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Lance Crews and Pastor David Kirkman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you would kindly consider donations to the American Lung Association or to Haven-Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center.
